If you are installing a new set of gears in your 1982-2001
10-bolt rearend, you will need a master install kit. The
kit includes new pinion bearings, carrier bearings,
crush collar, gasket and silicone sealant, everything
needed for bolting in a new gear set. You can also use
this kit if you're just looking to rebuild the rear in
your car or truck. This 7.5"/7.625" series differential
can be found under many GM cars and trucks.
If you installed a set of aftermarket gears in your
1993-2001 Camaro, Firebird, or Impala SS you will need
to re-calibrate your speedometer. SLP has just released
a new processor that allows you to do this, which will
make speedometer re-calibration a snap. This new
Re-calibrator is endlessly adjustable, so if you make
any gear or tire height changes in the future, you can
flip a few switches and once again have accurate
speedometer readings. Simply splice the re-calibrator
into your vehicles wiring harness. Detailed installation
instructions included.
GM has designed your car's traction control system to
activate as soon as you start the car, but sometimes
it's just not necessary. SLP has come up with a new
little device that actually reverses the activation
of your car's TCS function, by not having the system
activate until you turn the manual switch on located
on your car’s dash or console. No more embarrassing or
annoying moments at the track. Installation couldn’t
be easier, since this device is a simple plug-in.
Auburn Performance Unit
Auburn Pro Series Unit $
Auburn Gear's high bias Pro Series and High Performance
Series limited-slip differentials outperform standard
OEM differentials hands down. They deliver more traction
and faster engagement for controlled power transfer and
lightning-fast reaction to changing load conditions. The
Auburn Gear limited-slip differential is engineered to
provide smooth torque-sensing operation with bias ratios
to meet your performance needs. This superior performance
is achieved through an innovative cone clutch design which
transfers more power to the high-traction wheel for quick
acceleration and tight cornering. Both units are compatible
with ABS and TCS.
